UNCHAINED NIGHTS returns November 18th featuring poet Lady Unchained
November 15, 2021 |

This November, sell-out event Unchained Nights returns to Toynbee Studios for another edition. We’d like to invite you to join us for a special evening, including the premiere of a new film, commissioned by Artsadmin, about Lady Unchained. Expect live performances by artists with lived experience of the justice system, as well as a preview of the work Lady Unchained has been doing with Theatre31 at HMP Cookham Wood.

Lady Unchained: “It’s easy to end up in prison. We are shown through shows and movies that tell us the stories of how people end to in prison. The gangs, the violence, the drugs and the money is a story we all know so well. I got tired of hearing and seeing the same old story when I became part of that sad truth. Unchained Nights tells a new story. A story of how we can turn a negative situation into a positive pathway for ourselves and others.”

18 November, 7–9.30pm
Toynbee Studios, 28 Commercial Street, London, E1 6AB
The film is captioned and the event will be BSL interpreted
