The cast of Poppy Burton-Morgan’s new musical THE RHYTHMICS will be releasing a cast album on the 7th of August on Spotify. The entire album was recorded during lockdown.
The team also recorded a music video for one of their songs, which will be released on the same date as the album.
THE RHYTHMICS features Manchester’s all male rhythmic gymnastics performance ensemble and tells the story of hapless single-dad Grey who is in a rut. Teenage daughter Silva packs him off to revive his rockstar dreams. He successfully auditions for ‘Nick & the Rhythmics’ only to realise… He’s actually signed up for an all-male Rhythmic Gymnastics troupe. Against the odds these burly blokes twirl their ‘ribbons of fire’ as far as the World Championships – and along the way Grey finally learns to embrace life.
