John Jackson

John has written episodes of GRANTCHESTER for ITV1, THE TUNNEL for Sky Atlantic, and Harlan Coben’s THE FIVE for Sky 1. He was part of the writers room for Simon Beaufoy’s FX series TRUST. 

He has written for various BBC shows including three series of BEING HUMAN (BBC3), and the online spin-off BECOMING HUMAN.

John wrote on the second series of BAFTA-award winning IN THE FLESH (BBC3), both series of LIP SERVICE (also BBC3) and ROBIN HOOD (BBC1).
He has a number of projects in development, ranging from time-travel crime series STITCHES, to period ballroom dance series WALTZER. He is working on his first sitcom DILFS, as well as feature-length screenplay RUSK.


His other original projects include supernatural crime series THE DEAD BEAT, as well as SIEGE and BLOODSHOT. He co-wrote a pilot for hostage-drama THE FERRYMAN for FX in the US.


Soon after leaving Cambridge University, John found himself developing and script editing cult ITV soap NIGHT AND DAY. He ended up writing 35 episodes and rewriting as many if not more. He has a number of credits on children’s shows including UGETME, ANIMAL SPIES and POWERS for CBBC.


John is also a keen Darts enthusiast.
