Trevor de Silva

Trevor is best known for A ROYAL NIGHT OUT (Ecosse Films / Lionsgate). Released spring 2015, to coincide with the 70th anniversary of VE Day, his original screenplay was selected for the Brit List.

Currently, he is under commission to Qwerty Films – BUTTERFLY ON A WHEEL charts Michael Havers’, QC, defence of Mick Jagger and Keith Richards following the infamous Redlands drugs-bust of 1967. And how, through the trial, Michael is able to repair the dysfunctional relationship with his teenage son, Nigel.

Previous commissions include: PAINTING CHURCHILL for Pathe, the story of how painting saved Churchill from his depression, and POLICE DOG for Little Bird/The Imaginarium, an animated feature pitched as ‘Lethal Weapon with dogs’.

Trevor wrote and directed the award-winning WOULD LIKE TO MEET (featuring Maxine Peake). Unusually for a short, it was acquired and broadcast by BBC Television

Before film, Trevor worked in advertising. A creative director at J. Walter Thompson, his work has been recognised at Cannes, D&AD and the National Television Awards.

He is also one half of the team that created Jack Shit, an Amazon humour bestseller.
