Suzette is a London playwright and screenwriter. In 2017 her play The Sting was produced at both Southwark Playhouse and the Arcola Theatre and in 2016 her play Superman & Me performed at The King’s Head Theatre. She was longlisted for the 2016 Old Vic 12 Playwrights Prize.
For television her TV drama series, ‘The Givers’, a 60 minute TV drama pilot reached the top 10% of scripts for BBC Writersroom 10, and ‘Never Leaving Home’ a 60 minute pilot TV drama pilot reached the final 14 of BBC Writersroom 5.
Sometimes Suzette directs. She recently directed NSR Khan’s BF4EVA, much? at Southwark Playhouse, Eva Edo’s Looked After Children for Women at RADA and the highly acclaimed Child Z by BBC Writers Prize Winner, Sarah Hehir.
Suzette’s first feature MOSHE MAKES WAVES – the first and only Hassidic Jewish Surfing movie – was optioned by Frank Mannion of Princess Productions and she was one of the initial writers on the groundbreaking late-night ITV1 soap NIGHT & DAY.
Suzette is artistic director of theatre company, Little Pieces of Gold (http://www.littlepiecesofgold.co.uk). They have produced the plays of almost 400 emerging, established and award winning writers, collaborated with as many directors and even more performers. Thousands of writers have submitted their work through their open submission process and their productions garner much industry interest and facilitate long term creative collaborations.
