Sally Robinson

A Humanities and Golden Globe recipient, Sally was honoured by PEN USA for her work on the Emmy nominated “Iron Jawed Angels.”

She is a graduate of the University of Rochester where she was a member of the Arts Council and served on the President’s Advisory Committee. Sally also holds an MFA from Cornell University. Prior to her career in television and film, she taught literature at the University of Cincinnati and is also a published short story writer. An acknowledged script doctor, she has done dozens of uncredited rewrites in television and film.

Sally wrote HOW WE SLEPT, based on Sara Cunningham’s memoir, for Sony Pictures which is currently in pre-production. The drama stars Jamie Lee Curtis, who will also direct, as a Christian mother who comes to terms with her son being gay through a personal journey to the Pride Parade.
Also in pre-production is ROADHOUSE ROMANCE for Hallmark Channel.

Currently, Sally is writing CHRISTMAS AT WEATHERSTONE MOUNTAIN starring Leann Rimes for NBC Universal and a television pilot for Overbrook Entertainment

Sally partnered with author Russel Banks to executive produce a film adaptation of his book Rule of the Bone, starring Noah Jupe and Vadim Perelman on board to direct. Sally also partnered to produce KISS OF THE WOLF, based on the book by Jim Shepard, with Bad Wolf Pictures.

The original series AIRPORT TRASH and THE MARRIAGE BED are available for review.
