DEATH IN PARADISE, Robert’s original series for Red Planet Pictures, is currently in its fourth series. The first episode was watched by a record 9 million people.
He’s also currently writing a new drama series for BBC Scotland entitled GRACE – about a woman who finds herself working as a nanny to support her young daughter.
Before that, Robert adapted the true-life Special Forces story OPERATION CERTAIN DEATH as a feature for Adam Bohling/David Reid (producers of ‘Kick-Ass’ and ‘Layer Cake’).
His 90 minute drama, HERE BE MONSTERS, about the discovery of the first dinosaurs in the nineteenth century, is with the BBC.
He co-wrote the comedy road movie – MY DOG HAS FLEAS – for Homerun Pictures (‘Saving Grace’ / ‘Doc Martin’).
Robert has also written two separate 90-minute one-off comedy dramas for ITV Productions: HOW TO MURDER YOUR HUSBAND and DIGGING FOR VICTORY.
He also wrote an hour-long animated episode of INSIDE HAWKING’S MIND for Darlow Smithson Productions.
His first afternoon play for Radio 4, FROM ABSTRACTION, was broadcast in 2006 with Roger Allam, Daniel Evans and Emma Fielding in the cast.
Robert was educated at CambridgeUniversity, where he was President of Footlights.
