Emma’s most recent short, the Film London supported comedy SELL BY DATE, is currently touring the festival circuit. Emma is further developing the film’s concept into a comedy TV series.
Emma Savage is an award winning film writer and director. After graduating with a first class degree in ‘Drama Film and TV’ from Bristol University, Emma attended the Met Film School, Ealing Studios. Whilst a student at the Met, Emma wrote and directed 2 short films which enjoyed great festival success, winning awards and securing international distribution deals.
After leaving the Met, Emma co-founded and heads the production company Savage Mills where she directs creative projects for many exciting music, fashion and corporate companies. Her great passion has always remained with narrative film and in 2012 she was awarded funding by Film London to write and direct the comedy short SELL BY DATE. The film stars Daisy Haggard (I Give it a Year, Man Stroke Woman, Episodes) and offers a raw and uncensored insight into the issues surrounding the life-changing decision and process of conceiving and having a baby.
SELL BY DATE premiered at the 56th BFI London Film Festival and has been accepted at the Oscar qualifying Bermuda International Film Festival and Palm Springs Film Festival. Emma has begun developing SELL BY DATE into a TV series and has numerous other series and feature outlines in various stages of development.

CHRONICLES OF COURAGE is a film art installation representing three contracting experiences of World War One. It is supported by the Arts Council. CHRONICLES OF COURAGE has now shown at the Imperial War Museum, Palm Springs International Shortfest, Big Sur International Screening series, and will show in October 2015 at Raindance Film Festival.
